Due to recent rainfall, the NC Forest Service will lift the statewide burn ban on Wednesday, April 2 at 8:00 a.m. In addition, the Alexander County Fire Marshal’s Office will lift the local open burn ban at the same time. If open burning is necessary, citizens are asked to burn responsibly and carefully.
