A structure was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning in Alexander County.
Around 5:30 am, Hiddenite, Stony Point, and Vashti Fire Departments were dispatched to a location off Cheatham Ford Road. A former chicken house was engulfed in flames.
No reports of injuries.
The Alexander County Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the blaze.
