Zach Brzykcy
The right-handed flame-thrower missed the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John Surgery that followed a 2023 season that saw him make his big league debut with the Washington Nationals.
The plan was for Brzykcy to be ready for spring training which he was. Early in workouts some discomfort developed in his right knee. It was determined that tendonitis was the issue. He shutdown for a period of time keeping him from breaking camp with the Nats.
After treatment, Brzykcy was assigned to rehab at Single A Fredricksburg, Maryland.
On Tuesday, April 15th, Zach made his 2025 debut pitching an inning and striking out all three batters he faced ! So far, so good!
The plan is for Brzykcy to see action again this weekend as he hopes to return to “The Show” sooner rather than later.
