Brzykcy Gets Call From Miami Marlins

The Miami Marlins have called Alexander Central alum Zach Brzykcy to the majors.

Marlins pitcher Max Meyer was placed on the bereavement list to tend to a private matter. Major League Players are allowed to take 3 to 7 days on bereavement leave.

Brzykcy was called-up to Miami on June 1st. He did not pitch and was returned to AAA affiliate Jacksonville on June 2nd as the Marlins added a pitcher to the roster for a day game following a night game.
