NEWTON – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a bridge on Grace Church Road over Haas Creek in Newton next week.
The closure will begin at 7 a.m. Nov. 7 and is scheduled to end by the afternoon of Nov. 23.
Maintenance crews will be replacing the bridge deck during the closure.
The three-mile detour will send drivers onto Grace Church Road, Blackburn School Road, N.C. 10, and Wesley Chapel Road.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and remain alert while approaching the work zone and using the detour.
