***Breaking News*** Teen Charged In Alexander County With Child-Sex Crimes….Updated

A teen is in custody after being charged with a series of child-sex related crimes on Thursday.

18-year old Edward Gary Rasiewicz of Statesville was taken into custody by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies and Taylorsville Police Officers. Both agencies filed charges that include multiple felony counts of statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 15. He also faces counts of sexual battery.

Additional information is expected today.

Rasiewicz is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $150,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
