A suspect is in custody following a chase in Eastern Alexander County.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle in Hiddenite. The driver of the suspect vehicle refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.
The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Highway Patrol.
Two law enforcement vehicles were struck during the chase. Both sustained damage.
The pursuit ended near the intersection of US 64 and Old Mountain Road.
A suspect is in custody.
No injuries reported.
