***Breaking News*** Stony Point Man Jailed On Sexual Assault Charges

A Stony Point man has been arrested on charges involving an alleged sexual assault.

On Thursday, Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies charged 43-year old Bryon Ross Sears with felony second-degree forcible sexual offense, felony assault with serious bodily injury and assault on a female.

Sears is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $175,000. He is scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court on Monday.
