Catawba County Authorities are on the scene of what is being termed a standoff in the 6900 block of Spring Road.
A subject has barricaded himself inside a home and refuses to exit.
The Catawba County STAR Team has been dispatched to the location.
Springs Road is closed at the intersection of Highway 16 at this time where an accident has been reported.
