The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of an overnight shooting in Stony Point.
Deputies responded around midnight to a location in Eastern Alexander County. One person was suffering from a gunshot wound or wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital by Alexander County EMS.
Sheriff’s Office Major Jason Moore said this morning that a “person of interest” has been detained and is being questioned.
