A morning fire has claimed a life in Alexander County.
The Stony Point Fire Department was dispatched around 7:50 am to Mickey Hager Mobile Home Park in Stony Point. A mobile home was engulfed in flames when the first units arrived. Two residents were able to escape the burning dwelling but a third was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The Alexander County Fire Marshall’s Office, North Carolina Fire Marshall’s Office, Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and the SBI are investigating.
