**Breaking News** Hickory Man Charged With Statutory Rape

On Monday, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year old Brian Keith Ramsey of Hickory. He was charged with felony statutory rape of a child under the age of 15, felony statutory sex offense with a child by an adult, felony sex act with a child by a substitute parent or custodian and felony statutory sex offense. Ramsey is being held without bond in the Catawba County Jail with an initial court appearance scheduled for Tuesday in Newton.
