**Breaking News** Belmont Man Charged With Soliciting Alexander County Juvenile

Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested 20-year old Tucker Landon Southern of Belmont on Wednesday and charged him with felony solicitation of a child by computer.

Sheriff Chad Pennell said a complaint was filed earlier in the month. The investigation led to the charges which involve social media exchanges between the suspect and an Alexander County juvenile.

Southern is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $500,000. An initial court appearance is scheduled for Monday. October 21st.
