***Breaking News*** Alexander County Deputies Charge Man With Distributing Child Pornography

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Zachary William Terrance of Albemarle on Thursday and charged him with child-pornography related offenses. The suspect despite his Stanley County address was residing at a location in Alexander County off Highway 16 South. Terrance is charged with four counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The suspect allegedly distributed images of prepubescent females engaged in sexual activity. Terrance is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $150,000 and is scheduled to appear in district court on Monday in Taylorsville.

During the booking process Thursday afternoon, Terrance was found to be in possession of suspected illegal drugs according to Sheriff Chad Pennell. Those charges have yet to be filed as the investigation continues.
