Iredell County Deputies responded to a reported larceny at the Food Lion on Turnersburg Highway on Saturday, September 20th. Employees informed deputies that a male suspect had stolen over $1,000 in merchandise . On September 23, Deputies responded to the same business after employees called to report the suspect had returned to the store.
When employees attempted to confront the suspect, he fled in a silver vehicle. Deputies were able to obtain a more detailed description of the suspect and the vehicle after reviewing surveillance footage.
Michael David Peek, 41, of Raven Rock Road, Boone was identified as a suspect. He was also a suspect in similar crimes in Davie County. Davie County Deputies located and arrested Peek.
