A body found off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Watauga County has been identified as 33-year old Josue Calderon of Rhode Island. The National Park Service is investigating the death as a homicide.
The body was found on October 9th near the Yadkin Valley Overlook located two miles north of the Parkway/U.S. 321 intersection in Blowing Rock. The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, and SBI are assisting the Park Service in the investigation.
No other details have been released.
