The identities of a deceased Wilkes County couple found on February 9th have been revealed.
The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office says the deceased are 81-year-old Raymond John Zinc, and 77-year-old Rita Parker Zinc, both of 159 Cottontail Lane, North Wilkesboro. The Sheriff’s Office says that no foul play is suspected but a cause for either death has not been determined.
Deputies had gone to couple’s home after a neighbor expressed concern about the man and woman after he hadn’t seen them. A search of a wooded area around the home was conducted, an elderly male was located deceased. Later a deceased elderly female was located in the same area.
The investigation is continuing.
