Board Of Elections To Test Voting Equipment

September 16, 2026 By Richard C. Gilbert

Taylorsville, NC – The Alexander County Board of Elections will begin conducting Logic and Accuracy (L&A) Testing at the Emergency Services Building on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., as required by NCGS 163-33.2 and 08 NCAC 04.0307, for voting equipment being used during the 2026 Statewide General Election.

L&A testing is a crucial step in preparing for an election, as the process ensures every machine that will be used during the election is correctly processing and tabulating results.
