Taylorsville: Alexander Central routed Freedom Tuesday night in a game called after 4 innings. Macy Law got the win in the circle pitching the first three frames allowing 3 hits. Lyla Mayberry was 3 of 4 with 5 rbi. Laney Wike hit a grand slam. Kensley Davis homered and had 3 rbi and Kyla Hamby was 2 of 3 with a pair of runs batted in. The win pushes AC to 13-1 and 5-0 in Northwestern Conference play while Freedom falls to 5-10 and 0-5.

Junior Carter Bowman twirled a 2-hit shutout and struck out 12 for the Cougars. 7 different Alexander Central players had a hit. Koa Mikeal, Gunnar Johnson, Wyatt Smith and Ty Matheson all had a runs batted in. AC is now 8-6 and 4-1 in league action. With the loss Freedom is 8-6 and 0-5.
