Back To Jail For Hiddenite Man

Michael Chad Rood, age 38 of Hiddenite, was apprehended on Monday for felony probation violation. Rood was arrested in March in Iredell County for violating his registered sex-offender status. He was convicted in 2007 for felonious restraint of a minor. He served 16 months in prison. As of earlier today, Rood remains in custody with a bond listed for $10,000.

Additional previous charges against Rood are pending in Iredell County for first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and felony first-degree burglary. In Alexander County, Rood awaits trial for charges that include felony elude arrest with a motor vehicle, assault on a government official,resisting arrest and a series of traffic-related offenses.
