Asheville Man Charged With Armed Robbery in Catawba County

Michael Dylan Jenkins, age 29 of Asheville, was taken into custody Saturday by Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies. He’s been charged with three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, 3 counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony possession of a firearm by a felon, breaking and entering with intent to terrorize or injure, illegal discharging of a firearm, and conspiracy. Details concerning the charges have not been made available.

He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $250,000 and is scheduled to make a Tuesday court appearance in Newton.
