Terrell Williams, 44, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, is charged with three counts of felony second-degree burglary, felony safecracking, felony money laundering, two counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses, felony possession of burglary tools, three counts of felony larceny of a firearm and felony larceny after breaking and entering, according to Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell.
Biffle was killed in a plane crash at the Statesville Regional Airport on December. 18, 2025. Hia wife, Cristina, Biffle’s children, Emma and Ryder, and Craig Wadsworth, Dennis Dutton and Jack Dutton also died in the crash.
Biffle’s Doolie Road estate was broken into sometime between 3 p.m. on January 7 and 6 p.m. on January 8, according to a report.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference Tuesday to provide updates in the break-in case. During the break-in, $30,000 in cash and a backpack were taken, according to the report. Iredell Sheriff Darren Campbell previously said two guns and some NASCAR memorabilia were also stolen.
Campbell said Tuesday that Williams is linked to other break-ins, including one connected to a high-profile homicide in Georgia. There may be other people of interest linked to the Biffle case, Campbell said.
Police in Georgia found a ring in Williams’ possession that led investigators to contact the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Williams is being held in Cobb County, Georgia without bond. Extradition has been requested by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
