Apple is expanding their operation in Catawba County.
A building permit was issued for the 240,000 square foot expansion of the Startown Road data center on May 20. Apple has confirmed the project.
The building permit lists the construction cost at $25.2 million, which includes site development and interior and exterior mechanical and electrical equipment.
The operation opened in 2012.
