Another Motorcycle Fatality Reported In Catawba County

July 29, 2025 By Richard C. Gilbert

Maiden – On Monday, July 28, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the NC State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a fatal collision in Catawba County on East Maiden Road near Lebanon Road. A 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling east on East Maiden Road drove off the right side of the road and struck a concrete culvert.

The driver, Roger Albert Bradstreet, 57, of Lincolnton, was ejected from the motorcycle and transported by medical helicopter to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The initial investigation indicates excessive speed to be the contributing circumstance in the collision. East Maiden Road was closed in the area during the on-scene investigation for approximately one hour
