“I am honored to continue serving the children and families of Alexander County and excited that I am able to do so as the executive director of Exceptional Children and Student Support Services. I have established a great working relationship with this team and look forward to leading this wonderful group,” stated Mrs. Anderson.
Anderson has served as the assistant director of Exceptional Children in Carteret County for over three years. She has three years of experience in administration at multiple school levels and has served as a dropout prevention director.
Mrs. Anderson has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s in Anthropology, and a master’s in school administration from East Carolina University. She has licensure in Social Studies (9-12), Anthropology (9-12), Spanish (K-12), and Exceptional Children administration. Mrs. Anderson is in the doctoral education program at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
