Alexander County Woman Returned To Custody

Terri Michelle Pitts, age 35 of Taylorsville, was placed in custody on Tuesday.

As reported in February, Pitts was charged by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office with felony negligent child abuse resulting in serious physical injury. The charges were the result of a child ingesting methamphetamine while in her care. The child recovered.

As of earlier today, Pitts is no longer listed in custody.

Pitts has a long list of previous convictions in Alexander and Catawba County for felony trafficking methamphetamine, obtaining property by false pretense, burglary, forgery, financial card fraud and assault on a government official.
