November 27, 2024 By Richard C. Gilbert

Angie Davis

Catawba County Schools has announced the appointment of Angie Davis as the district’s new Chief Financial Officer, filling the position vacated by Karla Aldridge, who is retiring after 32 years of service. The school board confirmed Ms. Davis’s selection at Monday night’s Board of Education meeting.

Davis brings to her new role nearly two decades of experience in public school finance. Her career includes experience in finance and payroll in several North Carolina school districts, including Alexander County, Iredell-Statesville, and the Mooresville Graded School District.

Ms. Davis is a graduate of Maiden High School and a product of Catawba County Schools. She lives in Alexander County with her husband of 24 years, Joel Davis. Together, they have two children.
