Alexander County Woman Makes Court Appearance Today On Felony Drug Charges

A Taylorsville woman makes a court appearance today after her arrest last Thursday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

Kirstin Ashleigh Dawn Smith, age 29, is charged with felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Smith has pending charges from 2023 in Alexander County that include felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

She remains in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today.
