Alexander County Woman Facing Felony Drug Charge

40-year-old Ashley Lashay Wike of Taylorsville was arrested Monday by Troutman Police Officers. She’s charged with felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine, and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance. Wike is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic infractions.

Monday, around 12:30 am, Officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Oswalt Amity Road. The vehicle was being driven by Ashley Wike. While speaking with Wike, officers developed probable cause to conduct a search of the vehicle. During the search, officers reportedly found several baggies containing meth.

Wike has been released under a secured bond of $20,000.
