48-year old Randy Wade Nelson was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday. He was charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and felony providing contraband to a jail inmate. Nelson is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $20,000. An October 18th court date is scheduled.
