Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Buddy McKinney Retires

After 20 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Alexander County, we proudly recognize and congratulate Lieutenant Buddy McKinney on his well-earned retirement.

Lt. McKinney has served at the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office with integrity and professionalism in a variety of vital roles — beginning as a Detention Officer, then rising through the ranks as a Deputy, Sergeant, Detective, and finally serving as Lieutenant over the School Resource Officers (SROs). His leadership, mentorship, and commitment to the safety and wellbeing of Alexander County has left a lasting legacy.

Thank you, Lt. McKinney, for your two decades of loyal service. We wish you all the best in your retirement and future endeavors. You’ve earned it!
