Alexander County Sheriff’s Office K9 Mick Passes

May 17, 2024 By Richard C. Gilbert

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our retired K9 Mick. He began his service with his handler Lt. Timothy Simms in October of 2013 and was medically retired in December of 2021.
Mick had numerous narcotic seizures in Alexander, Wilkes, and other surrounding agencies. Mick’s favorite activities was playing ball and barking. He was our 2nd K9 to join our office. Mick was a huge asset to our agency and will be greatly missed by us all.
