The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an unattended death.
A female said to be in her 60’s was found inside a residence on Tuesday.
Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell says the cause of death is under investigation. He would not speculate saying, “There’s no indication of foul-play but the cause of death is something of a mystery, at least right now.”
More details including the name of the deceased is expected later today.
