Following an investigation by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, two High Point residents are facing felony drug trafficking charges. A total of 29.9 grams of Fentanyl was seized during the arrest.
On Monday, March 31st the following charges were filed.

Steven Wayne Owens
Owens has a long history of criminal convictions that include felony possession of schedule II controlled substance in both Guilford and Randolph Counties, felony obtaining property by false pretense in Guilford County along with multiple other charges.

Kayla Renee Parker
Both suspects are being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $250,000 each. A Monday, April 7th court date is scheduled in Taylorsville.
