Our rising 9th grade students kicked off Med Camp Day I by exploring healthcare careers through a career match activity and researching careers in Xello.
Then it was off to the Catawba Science Center for Sick Science! Students examined bacteria, fungi, and parasites under microscopes, evaluated symptoms, performed flu tests, and investigated how diseases spread through an epidemic simulation.
The day wrapped up with time to explore the Science Center’s exhibits and discover even more through hands-on learning.
A great start to a week of healthcare exploration!
