Alexander County School Board Makes Masks Optional For Students And Staff

The Alexander County Board of Education members voted unanimously for masks to be optional for K-12 students and staff effective Feb. 23, 2022.

The Head Start program and buses are under federal mandates and will continue to require masks.

The School System will no longer be contact tracing and will communicate new positive COVID cases weekly on the district COVID Dashboard by 5 p.m. on Monday of the following week.
