Alexander County Officers Arrest Morganton Parole Absconder

Probation and Parole Officers in Alexander County arrested a Morganton man on Wednesday. William Gary Reid, age 30, was listed as a parole absconder and charged with felony parole violation. Reid remains in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.

In 2023, Reid was released from prison after serving 17 months for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle in Lincoln County.
