Alexander County Man Nabbed After Alleged Assault

A Hiddenite man has been charged following an incident on Friday.

33-year old Adam Robert Jackson was taken into custody and charged with simple assault. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.

A number of previous charges against Jackson are pending as well. They include driving while impaired and reckless driving in Catawba County. In Buncombe County, Jackson has a series of charges awaiting trial that include felony assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and felony possession of methamphetamine.
