Alexander County Man Jailed On Assault Charges Again

A Taylorsville man back in custody after being charged with assault related offenses for the second-time in less than two weeks.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old William Tyler Herman Jr of Old Wilkesboro RD, on Friday and charged him with assault, assault with a deadly weapon (hunting knife), injury to real property and injury to personal property. The suspect was arrested on April 20th and charged with assault by strangulation and assault on a female. Herman is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.
