Alexander County Man Jailed And Held Without Bond

Brandon Scott Carter, 36 of Stony Point, is being held without bond in the Alexander County Jail. He was arrested Thursday and charged with vandalism with damage to personal property,resisting arrest and felony and misdemeanor probation violations. A first court appearance is scheduled for today.

Carter is on the sex-offender registry and is awaiting trial for a violation after he was arrested on an Alexander County School campus in September 2024. That case is scheduled for Superior Court on March 17th.

Carter was convicted of felony rape in Forsyth County in 2004. He served 19 years in prison as result of that conviction.
