Alexander County Man Facing Felony Charges After Traffic Stop

A Taylorsville man is facing charges following a traffic stop on Tuesday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian Eugene Gant, age 55, is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s also charged with resisting arrest. Gant remains in custody with a secured bond listed at $20,000. A May 5th initial court date is scheduled.
