Yancey Obrian Tanner, age 33 of Taylorsville, was arrested on Monday by Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. He was charged with a felony sex-offender violation. Obrian is on the sex-offender registry based on a 2011 conviction in Georgia for statutory rape. He served 10 years in prison for the offense. He has been released after posting a secured bond of $2,500. January 22nd is listed as a court date.
