Alexander County Man Charged After DNA Evidence Links Him To Crimes

A Hiddenite man was released from prison on Friday and taken to the Alexander County Detention Center on new charges.

61-year-old Scott Darnell Frye was released from prison after serving 14 months for multiple counts of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance.

Frye is scheduled to appear in Alexander County today on charges of felony larceny, felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony larceny and felony larceny of a motor vehcile. According to Sheriff Chad Pennell the new charges were filed after DNA evidence was confirmed implicating Frye while he was in prison.
