Taylorsville Man Awaiting Trial Of Felony Drug Charges Is Busted Again

Daniel Ray Burgess, age 40 of Taylorsville, was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday. He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Burgess has been released from custody under a secured bond of $5,000 and is scheduled for Alexander County District Court on Monday, August 12th.

A previous charge of felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises is pending and scheduled for Superior Court on September 16th. A pair of probation violations are also yet to resolved.

Burgess is already serving a 2023 suspended sentence following a felony drug conviction.
