Alexander County Man Arrested Then Found To Be In Possession Of Drugs At Jail

A man from the Bethlehem Community in Alexander County has been charged.

65.year old Tony Ray Bolick was served a warrant for arrest on Wednesday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear. He’d been charged in May with assaulting a law enforcement officer, two counts of resisting arrest and simple assault. At the time of the arrest, Deputies had to deploy a taser.

When Bolick, was being processed at the detention center he was found to be in possession of marijuana and was charged with possession of controlled substance on jail premises.

Bolick has a court appearance set for Monday, December 18th.
