Jeremy Lynn Benfield-Cooper, 49, of Hiddenite, was arrested Sunday evening after being served with warrants for failure to appear. He missed court dates on charges filed in July in Alexander County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault on a female. Benfield-Cooper remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a bond set for $10,000.
