Alexander County Man Arrested

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year old Dana Dewayne Mitchem of Taylorsville on Wednesday and charged him with larceny. He was also served with Caldwell County warrants for failure to appear on charges of felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods. Mitchem is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $10,000.

Mitchem has a long list of previous charges pending in Alexander and Caldwell counties. The charges include breaking and entering, larceny, chop-shop activity, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
