Alexander County Deputies File Felony Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

As the result of a traffic stop On Wednesday, 43-year old Randy Mitchell Beard of Hiddenite is facing felony drug charges.

Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies charged Beard with felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell and deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling or place for controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Beard is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $20,000. A court date of April 8th is listed.

Previous charges are awaiting trial against Beard that include assault on a female, resisting arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
