Alexander County Deputies Charge Taylorsville Man With Multiple Offenses

A Taylorsville man is facing a list of charges following what originated as a domestic-related call on Wednesday.

Alexander County Deputies responded to a residence in the Wittenburg Community concerning an assault. 31-year-old Anthony Xavier McMillan was taken into custody and charged with assault on a female, assault by communicating threats and battery of an unborn child. Officers obtained a warrant to search the home and added charges that include possession of a weapon by a felon, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. McMillan is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.
