Alexander County Deputies Charge Man With Kidnapping And Assault

Adam Steven High, age 40 and listed as homeless, was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday. An area hospital notified Deputies that a female was being treated for injuries incurred as the result of an assault. The victim reported she was assaulted at a location in Stony Point. When Officers arrived, High was located on the hospital grounds and taken into custody. He is charged with assault on a female, kidnapping and interfere with emergency communications. He’s being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center. A court appearance is set for Monday, June 17th.

High has a long list of pending charges in Alexander County that include felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. In Iredell County previous charges pending include multiple 17 counts of felony larceny of vehicle parts and felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine.
